They really leaned into the parody of enlistment and military media, from the music and the dialogue. Weirdly enough, it does make me feel patriotic. Sound effects from the weapons and the enemies are great to say the least, and even elevates the experience.

Super Earth’s territories are under siege on all fronts by monstrous enemies hell-bent on destroying humanity’s way of life. From the war table aboard your ship, your team can watch as the conflict unfolds and take part in battles across the universe. Do your part to advance the frontlines in the name of Freedom and Managed Democracy.

So happy to see this game so well received. Loved the 1st Helldivers and absolutely love this game. Arrowhead is also the exact type of studio I want to support and help thrive. If you haven’t tried this yet at $quarenta it’s one of the best bang for your buck co-op games out there.

Even if you’re in a full squad, the smallest bugs pose a real threat, whether it’s killing you themselves or overwhelming you until their bigger, scarier cousins catch up. All of this makes for an infectiously fun gameplay loop.
